Gryphon's Aerie

Thinking . . . trying not to fry the circuits

Unjust

The lesson that we get from the Beatles (one of the many) is that the universe is totally random (if not unjust).

The Beatles were a really cool rock and roll band from the 1960s.  The members of the band (not counting Peter Best who was quickly replaced by Ringo) were Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Richard Starkey (Ringo Starr).  John and Paul were the premiere songwriters and lead singers for the group.  George played bass.  Ringo was the drummer.

Now it is only logical that among any closely associated group of four people that when the time comes for them to shuffle off the mortal coil that they are not going to do it simultaneously.  Unless they all go down together in a plane crash (or some similar grojohn_lennonup tragedy), it is only natural that they will croak individually and over a span of time.

The first of the Beatles to go was John.  John was shot by an assassin as he was going home in New York City in December 1980.

21 years later, George was next.  He was brought down by cancer.  He was first diagnosed with cancer in 1997 which he blamed on his history of smoking.  Later he developed a brain tumor. His death certificate listed lung cancer as the immediate cause of death.ringostarr

That leaves Paul and Ringo– Proof that the universe is random and unjust.

The wrong two Beatles died first.

P.S. Now that John and George are gone, that makes Ringo the “cool” Beatle still alive.
